
The name of the firm has changed through the years
(our
history).
HBN Law employs more than 25 attorneys in Aruba,
Bonaire, Curaçao and St. Maarten. The office
in St. Maarten also serves the islands of Saba
and St. Eustatius.
HBN runs a general civil practice, mainly in the
areas of corporate law, commercial law, banking
and insurance law, telecommunications law, building
law, real estate law, labour law, bankruptcy law,
trademark law and of course litigation in those
areas. The practice of HBN Law further includes
constitutional and administrative law as HBN Law
frequently advises and represents the federal
and local governments in those areas.
In 1993 HBN associated with the firm of attorneys
and civil law notaries Pels Rijcken & Droogleever
Fortuijn in The Hague, The Netherlands.
Pels Rijcken is legal counsel for the Netherlands
and represents this country in all court proceedings.
It also specializes in handling cases before the
Supreme Court of the Netherlands, which also acts
as the Supreme Court for the Netherlands Antilles
and Aruba.
